Bourbon Tour Kentucky

One of the fastest growing tourist attractions in Kentucky is the Bourbon Trail. The concept was to link the tour of various distilleries in such a manner that a person could design an entire vacation around it.

In Kentucky, they take real pride in that, especially considering 95 percent of this corn-based, caramel colored smooth-sipping icon is distilled, aged for years and bottled right here in the state’s Bourbon Country. A distillery must follow specific guidelines before it’s allowed to put “bourbon” on its label. For example, the best Kentucky bourbons must be aged in brand new, charred white oak barrels for at least two years!

It’s big business for the Bluegrass State. But more than industry, Bourbon is a culture, a part of American history and heritage built by generations of Kentuckians from as early as the late 18th century.

Today, you too can experience the culture of Kentucky Bourbon Country – hit the high points and sample the best Kentucky Bourbon at your favorite distillery.
